Students should be able to identify the meaning of ‘economics’ and be able to explain how economic theory varies. Each activity aims to build upon students understanding of basic economic theory (scarcity, opportunity cost, etc) alongside a basic understand of Adam Smith and John Maynard Keynes. The information on both economists is basic, so as to not overwhelm students. However, teachers could expand on certain slides and go into more detail at their own discretion. I have created this resource to coincide with teaching People In Business. There are twenty printable slides with the terminology printed separately to the corresponding definition. This is a multi-use resource that could be displayed around the classroom, or as a starter/plenary (get students to choose one of the words without looking and then write the correct definition). This could also be useful when revising with students and supporting them in being able to answer one/two mark definition questions.
